The Brogden Lane Intermediate Care Facility is a six bedroom, three and a half bath home for intellectually and developmentally disabled residents. The house is a single story wood frame structure with about 4000 SF. The exterior will have cementicious board and batten siding and asphalt shingles.
Unlike most residences, the home will have a fire protection sprinkler system, fire alarms and a whole house gas fired generator. It is designed and equipped for handicapped accessibility.
There will be seven parking spaces to serve house van as well as staff, deliveries, guests and professional consultants. A second drive way is being added to provide separate in and out access because of the increased traffic.
Day to day operations will be very similar to the group home next door. Residents will attend weekday programs away from the home; go on field trips and to doctor visits.
We are looking forward to being neighbors. |
